Courses

BCLC offers one class content pieces for the fall semester taught by three instructors. All students are in one class, but they are split up into different groups (tables) where they get a chance to learn and process the content alongside one another.

Fall Courses

Fall Class Rotation 1 : Foundations

Instructors: Jeremy Nuckolls, Shane Smith, Pat Sullivan

Description: In “Foundations,” students will learn the basic principles and practices of the Christian faith and learn how to apply this knowledge to their everyday lives. Topics covered will include: the story of God, how to pray, what does following Jesus mean, and the habits found in Scripture of those who follow Jesus. As a result of this course, students will have a better understanding of the Christian life and gain confidence on how to live for Jesus in their spheres of influence.

Goals:
1. To be able to articulate the story of God as revealed in Scripture. 
2. To have a deep understanding of the foundational beliefs of Christianity.
3. To understand the habits of people who follow Jesus and how to apply those to one’s life.

Fall Class Rotation 2 : Younique for Students

Instructors: Jeremy Nuckolls, Shane Smith, Pat Sullivan

Description: The aim of this rotation is for you to gain a powerful taste of what it feels like to live a life inspired by your God-given purpose. You will begin to discover some of what makes you unique and just how amazing God made you to be. The new things you learn about God and yourself you may have never thought about before. But God has been thinking about you from before you were born. You are a one-of-a-kind created masterpiece.

Goals:
1. To name, know and interpret your own story.
2. To work through various tools to help realize your both general and special calling.
3. To create a plan to step forward into the things you uncover this semester.
